Template plans are used to contain all the vehicles, workers, and jobs for a single date.
On the Plans menu, click on the Template Plans item.
The default template plan is named Daily that is used unless other template plans are created.
New Template Plan
Click on the New Template Plan link to create a new template plan.
Fields
Plan Code | The name of the plan. |
Default Template | Check this box if this plan is the default plan for the checked days of the week. The default plan for each day of the week is automatically created on the day before it is to be executed. On any given day of the week, only one template plan can be the default. |
Sunday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Sunday. |
Monday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Monday. |
Tuesday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Tuesday. |
Wednesday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Wednesday. |
Thursday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Thursday. |
Friday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Frinday. |
Saturday | If checked, this template is used to create daily plans for Saturday. |
Create Daily Plan
Daily plans are created automatically from the default template plan for the specified day of the week.
It may be necessary to create a daily plan if you want to use a template plan other than the default on a specific date. For example, using a holiday template instead of the default template.
To create a daily plan from a template, click on the Create Daily Plan link.
Enter the plan date and click on the OK button. The Existing Plan Found form will be displayed.
Verify that the correct date was entered, then click the Yes button if the date is correct.
Edit
A template plan can be changed. Click on the Edit link to make a change to a template plan.
Change the plan code or the check boxes and click on the OK button to save the changes.
The Daily template plan cannot be deleted. For all other template plans, a Delete button is shown. Click on this button to delete the template plan.
Trips
The purpose of the template plan is to specify which vehicles and workers are available on the specified days of the plan.
New Trip
Click on the New Trip link to add a trip to the template plan.
Field List
Trip Code | A short code to identify this trip. (Required, and must be unique within this template plan) |
Origin Location | The origin location for the trip. |
Destination Location | The destination location for the trip. |
Start Time | Scheduled departure time from the depot. (Required) |
Straight Time | The time, in hours and minutes, of the scheduled work day. (Required) |
Overtime | The time, in hours and minutes, of the allowed overtime. (Optional) |
Vehicle | Select a vehicle from the list. The Cost Per Use, Cost Per Mile, Cost Per Regular Hour, Cost Per Overtime Hour and Max Weight fields will be automatically filled in. (Required) |
Worker | Select a worker from the list. (Required) |
Cost Per Use | The vehicle’s cost per use. (Required) |
Cost Per Mile | The vehicle’s cost per mile. (Required) |
Cost Per Regular Hour | The vehicle’s cost per non-overtime hour. (Required) |
Cost Per Overtime Hour | The vehicle’s cost per overtime hour. (Required) |
Max Weight | The vehicle’s weight limit. (Required) |
Edit
To change the trip data, click on the Edit link.
The Edit Trip form will be displayed. This form is identical to the New Trip form, except that a Delete button is shown.
To save the trip data, click on the OK button.
To delete the trip, click on the Delete button.
